Charity Support:
Orangewood Children's Foundation
Brief Description:
Orangewood Children’s Foundation:
Orangewood Children’s Foundation (a private
501c3 organization), was initially founded to raise money to build a
replacement emergency shelter for Orange County’s abused, neglected
and abandoned children. Orangewood Children’s Home was dedicated in
1985, and was deeded to the County of Orange who continues to
provide a refuge for our vulnerable children. Over the years, the
Foundation has turned its attention to serving the ongoing needs of
these children with programs designed to break the generational
cycle of abuse. For those who unfortunately must enter Orange
County’s foster care system, the Foundation has programs which help
children survive and thrive, in spite of the challenges that brought
them into protective care. Orangewood Children’s Foundation remains
committed to this tremendous goal.
While the Foundation remains committed to
assisting the Home with needs not covered by the county of Orange,
it does not run the facility. It will, however, take donations for
the Home or the donations can be distributed to other needy foster
families, foster teens and children. The gifts would be appreciated
not only by the youth at the Home but foster children and teens
throughout Orange County.
La Casa:
LA CASA is an all-volunteer organization brought together to support
neglected and abused children in Orange County. Founded in 1980 as
an auxiliary to support the Albert Sitton Home, later replaced by
Orangewood Children's Home, LA CASA enhances the environment of the
children undergoing the difficult transition brought on by neglect
and abuse. LA CASA
sponsors
renovations and events at Orangewood, which are not funded
by the County.
100% of the donations to LA CASA go directly to Orangewood
Children's Home. LA CASA is staffed by volunteers only. Gifts to LA
CASA are tax-deductible. LA CASA's tax identification number is
95-3681176. Mail cash donations to Post Office Box 4425, Huntington
Beach, California, 92605-4425.

Home, funding Orangewood scholarships, and mentoring former foster
