Different venue, same great event. OCR is the best. Now some of you might be asking, why go right on the first slalom? We were told to go left. During the practice runs, I was at the tail end of my competition. Kurt came BOUNCING over and told me that he tried the right side and thought it improved his time. I had nothing to lose, so I went for it during the timed runs. It seemed to be faster. I'll now more later when I look at some data. I always keep my ears and eyes open in case something has changed and I need to know about it. I'm sorry if I mislead anyone, but I just saw the track for the first time like you guys. Sometimes walking and driving is much different.

It turns out, that either way was about the same time. I'm going to keep my earlier post, because it's a good lesson for all of us to keep our eyes and ears open for changes through out the day that might benefit us.

While I am in the grid Adrian shouted to me "left or right on the 1st". I said "left". Adrian said try right, it might be faster. I did just that and dropped 0.3 seconds overall just enough for 1st . Thank you Adrian!!! No thanks to you Steve

Erik H did data on the track and there really was no difference. It probably just comes down to what your more comfortable with. Lets face it, Steve can't be right all the time, but he's right 99% of the time :P .
Adrian has gotten to be another top talent in autox and is a good source for correct driving line. There is a bunch of people in our club that really know what they are doing and I have to admit to changing my game plan on more than one occasion after driving the track. I didn't race last weekend, so my opinion really doesn't matter
I need more videos! :D

I went left for all runs...but somehow didn't figure out to go right on the later slalom until I saw others do it...and Steve Abbott confirmed. 47.3 but I hit cone.. Ugh!

I couldn't be happier with the way the event turned out, considering it was new to everybody and my crew.
